VLI Reinforces Vessel Acceptance Guidelines at Port Terminals

DJI_0434-935x700-1

VLI would like to inform its customers that the guidelines and criteria for vessel analysis and acceptance at port terminals managed and/or operated by the company remain in effect. The process is carried out by the Ship Technical Acceptance Team (ACTEC) and follows the safety requirements established by the BLU Code, an international reference for safe operations between ships and terminals.

Validity of the Analysis for the Tubarão Port Complex

For vessels bound for the Tubarão Port Complex (TPD and TPM), the acceptance analysis is valid for 45 days. If the vessel’s estimated arrival date is later than this period, a revalidation or extension of the analysis must be requested.

Documentation Required for Revalidation To update the analysis, the following documents must be resubmitted:

  • Letter of Statement;
  • Letter of Acceptance;
  • SPN;
  • Class Status Report issued within the last 14 days.

If significant changes are identified in the information previously submitted, additional documentation may be requested to support the evaluation.

Request Submission and Tracking

Analysis requests can be submitted through the Conecta Portal, which allows customers to track the progress of the process in real time. In addition, ACTEC’s service-level agreement (SLA) is 15 business hours, counted from the receipt of the minimum information required for the analysis. Requests with pending information not addressed within 48 hours may be canceled due to insufficient information.

For further details regarding the requirements, criteria, and applicable documentation, please refer to the complete document available below.

If you have any questions, please contact the VLI team through the Customer Portal.
